NYS Aid to Native Americans provides financial assistance to Native Americans in New York who are interested in attending college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to Native Americans who meet these qualifications: are on official tribal rolls of a New York tribe or are the child of an enrolled member; are residents of New York; and are or will be graduates of an accredited high school or have a New York State General Equivalency Diploma or are enrolled in college credit programs working for the State High School Equivalency Diploma.

Recipients must be accepted by an approved accredited postsecondary institution within New York.

Remedial, noncredit, and college preparation courses are not funded.
