NYWICI Scholarship provides financial assistance to female residents of designated eastern states who are interested in preparing for a career in communications at a college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to women who are seniors graduating from high schools in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania or undergraduate or graduate students who are permanent residents of those states; they must be attending or planning to attend a college or university in any state.
  • Graduate students must be members of New York Women in Communications, Inc.
  • (NYWICI).
  • Also eligible are women who reside outside the 4 states but are currently enrolled at a college or university within New York state.
  • All applicants must be working on a degree in a communicationsrelated field (e.g., advertising, broadcasting, communications, digital media, English, film, journalism, marketing, public relations, publishing) and have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Selection is based on academic record, need, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, honors and other awards or recognition, work experience, goals and aspirations, and unusual personal and/or family circumstances.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
