Oklahoma Scholarship Competition recognizes and rewards, with college scholarships, high school students in Oklahoma who achieve high scores on a test about the state's history and geography.

Requirements

This competition is open to students in grades 9-12 at high schools in Oklahoma.

Applicants take a 2hour test on the state's history and geography at their choice of 13 sites around the state.

Students in each county who achieve high scores on the test are awarded these scholarships for use at a college, university, community college, or vocational/technical school.

Some awards are in the form of tuition grants that may be used only at designated postsecondary institutions in Oklahoma; others are scholarships that may be used at any college or university in the country.

Students may earn 1 scholarship and 1 tuition grant during each of the 4 years that they compete in the program.
