Requirements

This competition is open to members of the Orange County Colony of Mayflower Descendants who are graduating high school seniors or undergraduate or graduate students at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must submit an essay, up to 750 words in length, on a topic that changes annually but relates to the history of Plymouth.

Recently, students were asked to write about the relations between the Pilgrims and the local Native Americans.

Selection is based on content, organization, style, references, and grammar.
