PAAE Scholarship provides financial assistance to students affiliated with FFA entering a program of practice teaching for agricultural education in Pennsylvania.

Requirements

This program is open to pre-service teacher candidates who have been placed for spring student teaching.

Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter indicating their interest in the scholarship, a statement of their teaching philosophy, transcripts, and a list of references.

Scores are based on the following: the applicant is a member of the Collegiate FFA/Teach Ag Society (10 points per year of membership); the applicant is a member of other agricultural associations or organizations (5 points per year of membership per organization); the applicant has held leadership positions in Collegiate FFA/Teach Ag Society and/or other agricultural associations or organizations (15 points per office per year, 10 points for committee involvement per year); applicant shows participation in Collegiate FFA/Teach Ag Society activities (5 points per activity per year); applicant shows participation in other extracurricular activities (2 points per activity per year), and the applicant has GPA of 3.5 to 4.0 (20 points) or 3.0 to 3.49 (15 points).
