Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who plan to major in agriculture at a college or university in the state.

Applicants must submit 1) a 750word essay on how the beef community can share information with consumers to address their questions or concerns about sustainability, environmental impact, production practices, and animal welfare; 2) a 500-word essay on their background, their career goals, and how they plan to make an impact in agriculture and the beef industry; and 3) a 1-page resume on their extracurricular activities, special honors and awards, and community service activities.
