Requirements

This program is open to full-time students entering their final year of undergraduate study and majoring in fields of atmospheric science.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled at a U.S. institution and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

They must be interested in conducting research and studying disciplines related to solarterrestrial interactions, specifically the responses of the earth's atmosphere and ionosphere to space weather input and space weather impact on earth infrastructure (e.g., GPS, power grid).

The sponsor specifically encourages applications from women, minorities, and students with disabilities who are traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related sciences.
