The Peierls Scholarship is available to first-generation college students who are African American and Latino students. Graduating seniors from Hidden Lake or Westminster high schools in Colorado who plan to attend the Community College of Denver, Front Range Community College, Metropolitan State University of Denver, or the University of Colorado at Denver are welcome to apply. Native American descendants are also eligible. Recipients must be open to coaching/mentoring during college.

Requirements

Minimum 2.5 GPA

Graduating senior from Hidden Lake or Westminster high schools, Colorado

U.S. citizen, permanent resident, DACA status, or undocumented

Latino or African American **or** Native American descendant

Plan to attend the Community College of Denver, Front Range Community College, Metropolitan State University of Denver, Red Rocks Community College, or the University of Colorado at Denver as a fulltime student

Firstgeneration college student

Demonstrate financial need (eligible for free and reduced lunch)
