Requirements

This program is open to Pennsylvania residents who are enrolled in or accepted at a 2-year surveying technology program or a 4-year bachelor's degree program in land surveying at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must submit a 1paragraph essay on the value they place on a land surveying education and their expectations for their future in the land surveying profession.

Selection is based on academic performance, as measured by SAT scores for high school seniors or GPA for college students (30%); activities, honors, work experience, leadership positions, and distinguishing qualifications (20%); the essay (30%); an evaluation by a guidance counselor or adviser (20%)).

Consideration is also given to financial needs.

U.S. citizenship is required.
