Requirements

This competition is open to high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students who are between 13 and 25 years of age.

Applicants are not required to be U.S. citizens, but they must be attending school in the United States or its territories.

They must submit a poem of any length, in any style, on a topic that varies with each competition.

Each student may submit only 1 poem.

The recipient of the award is selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries.
