Prince Kuhi'o Hawaiian Civic Club Scholarship provides financial assistance for undergraduate or graduate studies to persons of Native Hawaiian descent.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are of Native Hawaiian descent (descendants of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands prior to 1778).
  • Graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher; graduate students must have at least a 3.3 GPA. Along with their application, they must submit an essay on a topic that changes annually; recently, students were asked to write on the Hawaiian issue that influenced their decision to pursue their course of study at a college or university.
  • Priority is given to members of the Prince Kuhi'o Hawaiian Civic Club in good standing, including directlyrelated family members.
  • Special consideration is given to applicants majoring in Hawaiian studies and culture, Hawaiian language, education, or journalism.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement and leadership potential.
