Richard and Louise Varco Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to residents of any state interested in working on an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree in any field at a college in Minnesota.

Requirements
  • This program is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate and professional students who are enrolled full-time at an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or vocational/technical school in Minnesota.
  • Workers who have been displaced under extraordinary circumstances and are planning to enroll in a retraining program at those schools are also eligible.
  • Applicants may be planning to major in any field, but they must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Selection is based on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal, and financial need.
