Requirements

This program is open to students enrolled or planning to enroll at a 4-year college or university, 2-year accredited college, or vocational/technical school or training institution.

Applicants must be children of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in work zones, including mobile operations and the installation of roadway safety features.

They must submit a statement, up to 200 words, explaining their reasons for wanting to continue their education and listing any volunteer activities or accomplishments.

Selection is based on that statement, academic performance, 2 letters of recommendation, and financial need.
