Robert Austin Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in New England who are tall and interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont who are planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university in any state.

Men must be taller than 6'2" and women must be taller than 5'10".

Selection is based on academic record and achievements, SAT and/or ACT scores, involvement in clubs and activities outside and within the school community, personal achievements, 2 letters of recommendation, and a 1page essay on "What Being Tall Means to Me." Semifinalists are interviewed.
