Requirements

This program is open to ASCE members who are entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in an ABET-accredited program of civil engineering.

Applicants must submit an essay (up to 500 words) in which they discuss why they chose to become a civil engineer, their specific ASCE student chapter involvement, and longterm goals and plans.

Selection is based on that essay, their justification for the award, educational plan, academic performance, potential for development, demonstrated leadership qualities, and financial need.
