Robert E. Cook Scholarship provides financial assistance to Illinois residents who are interested in pursuing further education for a career in association management.

Requirements

This program is open to Illinois residents who 1) are executive officers of a local real estate board or association; 2) have expressed an interest in becoming a local real estate board or association executive officer; or 3) are currently employed by a local real estate board or association and are interested in preparing for a career in association management.

Applicants must be interested in furthering their education at a junior college, college, or university by pursuing a course of study that relates to the field of association management.

They may also be interested in participating in association management training programs sponsored by such organizations as the National Association of Realtors, the United States Chamber of Commerce, or the American Society of Association Executives.

Selection is based on the applicant's indication of interest in preparing or continuing to prepare for a career in association management, letters of recommendation, and the plan for use of the scholarship.
