Robert V. Mullen and Dean Roe Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to female high school seniors in Iowa who have played basketball and plan to attend college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to girls graduating from high schools in Iowa who have lettered in basketball for at least 3 years.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be planning to enroll at an Iowa college or university.

They must be nominated by their high school coach.

Selection is based on that essay, academics (GPA, ACT/SAT scores, class rank), and high school activities.

Special consideration is given to applicants who 1) plan to major in education, coaching, or premedicine; 2) received all-conference or state recognition at least once or played in the Iowa Girl's State Tournament at least 1 year; or 3) can demonstrate financial need.
