Requirements

This competition is open to high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who submit an essay of 400 to 500 words on a topic that changes annually; recently, students were asked to explain how technology has impacted the person they are today.

Applicants must be working on, or planning to work on, an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Selection is based on thoughtfulness of response (50%), relevance to topic (30%), quality of composition (15%), and grammatical accuracy (5%).
