The Ruby A. Carter Memorial Scholarship is a merit and need-based program available to students who are graduating seniors or current college students from Raleigh County, West Virginia. Students who plan to attend or are attending the University of Charleston-Beckley will be considered. Students who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and plan to major in education will be given special consideration.

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and plan to major in education. Every new UC Beckley student will be reviewed for consideration for available scholarships from this Foundation.
