Requirements

This competition is open to students younger than 23 years of age working on an associate degree at community colleges in southern California.

Applicants must be majoring in instrumental or vocal music and planning to transfer to a 4year college or university.

They must present an outstanding performance up to 10 minutes in length at an annual recital.

Pianists and instrumentalists must perform 2 compositions in contrasting musical styles, forms, and tempi.

Vocalists must perform 3 songs or arias in different languages, styles, and tempi.

The application fee is $25.
