The Shirley Bradway Serafin Scholarship recognizes residents of selected towns in Connecticut who are interested in preparing for a career in nursing or a related field. First preference is given to residents of Pomfret, Putnam, Thompson, and Woodstock, Connecticut who are enrolled in a registered nurse program at a college or university in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island. Secondary preference is given to residents of those and other communities who are enrolled in a registered nurse, physician assistant, allied health, or nurse practitioner program at any educational institution.
