South Dakota Bankers Association High School Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in South Dakota who plan to attend college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in South Dakota and planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college, university, vocational/technical school, or community college in the state.

Students must obtain an application from a participating bank in their community.

Each bank is free to establish its own requirements, but the South Dakota Bankers Association Foundation recommends the following selection criteria: academics (10%); school, extracurricular, civic, religious, volunteer, and special interest activities (25%); character, based on a 200word essay on their goals and values (25%); and an interview during which students are asked about the challenging aspects of being a teenager today and how a local bank generates economic growth (40%).
