Southwest Section Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of designated southwestern states who have a tie to the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and are interested in attending college in any state to study any field.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Arkansas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma who are high school graduates or undergraduates at a college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must have been a member of the AWWA for at least 1 year or the spouse, child, or legal ward of a 1year member.
  • Their program of study must be academic, not trade or vocational.
  • Selection is based on academic ability, extracurricular activities, outside interests, hobbies, club memberships, and public service activities.
