The Spartanburg Equality Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of the Spartanburg area of South Carolina who self-identify as LGBTQIA+ or as an ally and are interested in attending college.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of the Spartanburg area of South Carolina who are graduating high school seniors or students already enrolled at a 2- or 4-year college, university, or vocational school.

Applicants must selfidentify as LGBTQIA+ or as an ally demonstrating an interest in service to and/or support of the LGBT community.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Selection is based on that essay, academic honors and recognition, school clubs and extracurricular activities, and community service.
