SPE Scholarship-Fort Worth Section provides financial assistance to residents of the Fort Worth area of Texas who are entering or continuing at a college in any state to prepare for a career in the oil and gas industry.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Tarrant and adjoining Texas counties (Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, or Wise).

Residents of 21 other nearby counties may also be considered on a caseby-case basis.

Applicants must be entering freshmen or continuing undergraduates at colleges and universities in any state with an interest in working full time on a degree in petroleum engineering or other fields that will prepare them for a career in the oil and gas industry.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
