The Stars Scholarship Fund Scholarship program awards students in the south and west areas of Texas who are high school graduates or GED recipients. Students who plan to seek an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA
  • Permanent resident (5 or more consecutive years) of the South or West Texas counties of Aransas, Bee, Brewster, Brooks, Cameron, Culberson, Duval, El Paso, Goliad, Hidalgo, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kenedy, Kleberg, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Pecos, Presidio, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Terrell, Webb, Willacy, or Zapata
  • High school graduate or GED recipient
  • Earned at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at a college or university before applying for the scholarship U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Seeking an associate degree as a full or part-time student **or** a bachelor's, graduate, or doctoral degree as a full-time student
  • Demonstrate financial need
