Stockman Bank Next Gen Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school senior and college freshman FFA members in Montana, females, and males considered separately, who plan to study agriculture at a college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Montana and graduates of those high schools who are enrolled as freshmen at a college or vocational school in any state and planning to major in agriculture.

Applicants must be members of FFA and have completed at least 2 years of agricultural education classes.

They must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Selection is based on academic achievement (10 points); FFA leadership, including agricultural education courses completed (15 points); an essay describing their career objectives and why they have selected a career or vocation in agriculture (15 points); their FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project (20 points); an essay on their community service and their role in those activities (10 points); financial need (5 points); a letter of reference from their adviser (5 points), and a letter of reference from a community member (5 points).

Females and males are considered separately.
