The Student Academic Research Review (STARR) 4-Year Institution Program provides financial assistance for study in space-related fields to undergraduate students who are enrolled at 4-year colleges and universities that are members of the Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium (OSGC). Members of underrepresented groups (women, Native Americans, African Americans, Latinos, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, and people with disabilities) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Enrolled on a full-time basis at an OSGC 4-year member institution (Eastern Oregon University, George Fox University, Oregon Institute of Technology, Oregon State University, Pacific University, Portland State University, Southern Oregon University, University of Oregon, University of Portland, and Western Oregon University).
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in a field of STEM or STEM education related to the mission of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), including aerospacerelated engineering and mathematics, earth sciences, chemistry, biology, food science, and computer science.
  • U.S. citizen.
  • Able to review a spacerelated research project being conducted by a faculty member. Preference is given to members of underrepresented groups (women, Native Americans, African Americans, Latinos, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, and people with disabilities).
