Student Teaching Stipend for High-Need Fields provides scholarship/loans to undergraduate students in Indiana interested in participating in student teaching of specified high-needs fields at a college in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students seeking certification in order to teach at an accredited elementary or secondary school in Indiana.
  • Applicants must be Indiana residents and U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled as fulltime students at an academic institution in Indiana.
  • They must be entering a student teaching program for highneeds fields, currently defined as special education or middle or high school science or mathematics.
  • Their GPA must qualify them for admission to their college's school of education.
  • Students must submit their application to the financial aid office of the college they attend.
