Student Teaching Stipend for High-Need Fields provides scholarship/loans to undergraduate students in Indiana interested in participating in student teaching of specified high-needs fields at a college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to students seeking certification in order to teach at an accredited elementary or secondary school in Indiana.

Applicants must be Indiana residents and U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled as fulltime students at an academic institution in Indiana.

They must be entering a student teaching program for highneeds fields, currently defined as special education or middle or high school science or mathematics.

Their GPA must qualify them for admission to their college's school of education.

Students must submit their application to the financial aid office of the college they attend.
