The Team DC Student-Athlete Scholarship provides financial assistance to student-athletes from the Washington, D.C. area who self-identify as LGBTQIA+ and are interested in attending college.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of the Washington, D.C. area (defined to include the District of Columbia, the Maryland counties of Calvert, Montgomery, Prince George's, and St. Mary's, and the Virginia counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and the city of Alexandria) who are graduating high school seniors and plan to enroll full time at an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university.

Applicants must selfidentify as LGBTQIA+ and be able to demonstrate active involvement and participation in interscholastic athletics or a competitive sport (e.g., club sport, recreation league).

They must have made a contribution to the sport(s) of which they are a part and have enhanced the perception of the LGBTQIA+ community as a result of their contributions and involvement.

Financial needs may be considered in the selection process.
