Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who are U.S. citizens.

Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime to work on a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the state, although they may begin at a junior college and then transfer.

Females and males compete separately.

Selection is based on leadership and extracurricular activities (200 points), character (200 points), scholarship (300 points), and financial need (300 points).
