Texas Angus Auxiliary Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Texas who are members of the Texas Junior Angus Association (TJAA) and planning to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who have been TJAA members for the 2 preceding calendar years and are also current members of the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA).
  • A parent must have been a member of the Texas Angus Auxiliary for at least 2 years.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime at a college, university, or accredited technical program in any state and major in any field.
  • Selection is based on those essays (15%); academic achievement (10%); Angus leadership activities and involvement (40%); FFA, 4H, and other agricultural organization involvement (10%); other high school or collegiate organization, community, civic, and church activities (5%); an essay on their leadership potential, career goals, and ambitions for the future, especially how they will promote, advocate, and support the Angus breed and beef cattle industry in their plans (10%); and general effect of the application (10%).
