Requirements

This program is open to students enrolled at colleges and universities in Texas and working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in a fisheries-related field.

Applicants must submit a list of work experience since beginning collegelevel studies; a list of honors, fellowships, and scholarships they have received; a list of professional, scientific, and honor society activities, especially ways in which they have demonstrated leadership potential; a statement describing their career goals; and a description of their reasons for preparing for a career in fisheries science.

Selection is based on academic excellence, professional activities, the promise of future professional involvement, and contribution to the field of fisheries science.
