Requirements

This program is open to the dependent children of certified firefighters in Texas, including retired or deceased firefighters who were certified at the time of retirement or death.

Applicants must be younger than 24 years of age and high school seniors or graduates entering a college or university in any state as fulltime first-year students.

In the selection process, awards are given first to a male and a female student, and subsequently while funds remain for equal numbers of males and females.
