The Alannas Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to high school seniors in Vermont who participated in specified activities and are the first member of their family to attend college.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Vermont who are planning to enroll full-time at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must have participated in the VSAC Talent Search or GEAR UP Priority program and face significant barriers that limit access to postsecondary education.

They must be among the first generation in their family to attend college and have a GPA of at least 2.8.

Selection is based on that essay, academic achievement, a letter of recommendation, and financial need.
