The Michaels Organization Educational Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to residents of housing communities owned or managed by companies of The Michaels Organization.

Requirements

This program is open to students enrolled or planning to enroll at a college, university, or trade/professional school in any state.

Applicants must reside in affordable housing or in privatized onpost housing at designated military bases owned or managed by The Michaels Organization.

Minimum GPAs are 2.5 for high school seniors or 2.3 for students already enrolled in college.

Students who are college juniors or higher must have declared a major.

All applicants must submit a 400word essay or 5-minute video or DVD that includes information on 1) their major, trade profession, or field of study and why they chose it; 2) their objective immediately upon graduation; and 3) the actions they will take to achieve their goals or employment.

Selection is based on academic performance, character, and proficiency or potential proficiency in a chosen field of study.
