The Talegaonkar Medical Scholarship recognizes residents of designated communities in Virginia. Students who participate in extracurricular activities and are studying for a degree in science (e.g., chemistry, biology, physics, biochemical engineering), nursing, or the medical field are welcome to apply. Students planning to attend Virginia Commonwealth University receive special consideration.

Minimum 3.50 GPA

Resident of the City of Hopewell, Prince George County, or the Enon District of Chesterfield County, Virginia

Undergraduate or graduate student

Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in science (chemistry, biology, physics, biochemical engineering), nursing, or medicine full or parttime

Attending school in Virginia

Participation in extracurricular activities

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students planning to attend Virginia Commonwealth University.
