The Theodore C. & Minnie C. Swanson Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating seniors and graduates of a high school in Phelps County, Nebraska. Students who are studying for a degree in agriculture, a medical-related field, ministry, or theology are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Graduating senior or graduate of a high school in Phelps County, Nebraska
  • Seeking a professional certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Studying for a degree in agriculture, a medicalrelated field, ministry, or theology First preference is given to graduates of a Phelps County, Nebraska high school who are enrolled at an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America Seminary. The second preference is given to graduates of Bertrand High School with financial need who have completed two years towards an undergraduate degree in a medical-related field. Tertiary preference is given to graduates of Bertrand High School with financial need who are studying for an associate or bachelor's degree in agriculture. Children of Phelps County Community Foundation Board of Directors or employees or Bertrand School District Scholarship Committee members are not eligible to apply.
