The Thoma Foundation Research & Travel Awards In Art of the Spanish Americas is available to art historians, curators, scholars, or graduate or Ph.D. students. For applicants currently in school, only those working on a thesis or dissertation supporting research initiatives advancing the field of the art of the Spanish Americas are eligible to apply. Projects that focus exclusively on decorative arts, manuscripts, or maps will not be considered.
