Timothy J. O'Leary Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students from New England interested in preparing for a career in the public works profession.

Requirements

This program is open to students who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full- or part-time student at an accredited trade school, college, or graduate school in any state.

Applicants must be working on a degree in highway and traffic engineering, structural engineering, civil engineering, public administration, business administration, environmental engineering and science, horticulture, GIS, or another related field.

They must be members or sponsored by members of the New England chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and committed to a career in the public works profession.

Selection is based on that essay, a transcript, a letter of recommendation, and financial need.

U.S. citizenship is required.
