Tzu Chi USA Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to high school seniors who demonstrate awareness of the philosophy of Buddhist Tzu Chi.

Requirements

This program is open to graduating high school seniors who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university in any state.

Applicants must submit 1) documentation of financial need; 2) an autobiography of 2 to 5 pages that includes how they intend to use this scholarship, their personal and academic achievements, their academic and career plans, and their past and current involvement towards making a difference in their community; and 3) a 2page essay about Tzu Chi, based on information they have acquired from various sources, and what they have learned that inspires them and why.

In the selection process, emphasis is placed on financial need.

A home visit or telephone interview may be required.
