Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Hawaii and planning to enroll at an accredited college or university in any state.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for the ukulele as an instrument of virtuoso quality.

Selection is based on a personal essay describing their educational plans, career goals, and college financial need (20%); a personal essay describing their love for the ukulele and what it means to them (40%); a list of their volunteer and community service activities (20%); 2 letters of recommendation (10%); and financial need (10%).
