Requirements

This program is open to AFL-CIO union members (at least 1 year of membership) and their children.

The union of the member must be participating in a Union Plus program, but the member does not need to purchase any Union Plus program product or participate in any Union Plus program to be eligible.

Applicants must be working on or planning to work on an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college, university, community college, technical school, or trade school in Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, the United States, or the Virgin Islands.

All applications must be signed by an officer of the member's local.

Selection is based on academic ability, social awareness, appreciation of labor, and financial need.
