United States Hunter Jumper Association Foundation Hamel Scholarship for Further Education provides financial assistance to members of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) who are interested in attending college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to members of USHJA who are entering a college, university, or trade school in any state as a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.

Applicants must have been USHFA members for at least 3 years and be able to demonstrate financial need.

They must either rank in the top 20% of their high school class or have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Selection is based on that essay (15 points), academic achievement (15 points), employment experience (5 points), participation in school activities (10 points), community service (5 points), a statement of educational and career goals (25 points), letters of recommendation (15 points) and a statement of examples of leadership, awards received, challenges overcome, or anything else they wish to present (15 points).

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
