The University Club Lamp of Learning Scholarship is available to high school juniors in San Diego County, California who are seeking a bachelor’s degree in the U.S. upon graduation from high school. Students who have been enrolled in AVID and taken Honors, AP, or IB courses are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Minimum 3.2 GPA

Resident of San Diego County, California for at least 1 year

High school junior

Enrolled in Honors/Accelerated courses, with a minimum of 2 AP or IB courses or AP exams

Participate in community service, work, and/or responsibilities within the family

Demonstrate leadership through extracurricular activities and school or community activities

Participate in the AVID college readiness program for at least 2 years in high school, including junior year

Demonstrate financial need
