The VFW Post 8191 Scholarship is available to active duty or honorably discharged veterans or their dependents at Eastern Florida State College who are South Brevard County, Florida, residents. Students planning to pursue a professional certification in public safety or nursing or an associate degree in education are encouraged to apply. Recipients are chosen for their demonstration of financial need. Special consideration is given to students who have participated in junior ROTC in high school.
