Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors in Virginia who are interested in golf and wish to attend a college or university in the state.

Applicants must submit an essay of 500 words or less on how golf has influenced their life, the role it will play in their future plans, why they are applying for this scholarship and their career plans following graduation.

Selection is based on the essay, interest in golf (excellence and ability are not considered), academic achievement, citizenship, character, and financial need.

Applications must be made on behalf of the candidate by a member club of the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA).
