Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Virginia and to graduates of those high schools who have not yet attended a postsecondary institution.

Applicants must be the children or grandchildren of veterans who served during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.

They must be planning to attend college in any state to study a medical, nursing, or allied health care field.

Selection is based on academics, character, and Americanism.
