The Virginia Space Grant Consortium STEM Bridge Scholarship provides funding to sophomores who are members of underrepresented minority groups and majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) fields relevant to aerospace at colleges and universities that are components of the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC).

Requirements
  • This program is open to African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanics, and Pacific Islanders who are full-time sophomores at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, College of William and Mary, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, and Hampton University.
  • Applicants must be in a program of study demonstrating an interest in STEM and supporting the mission of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
  • They must be U.S. citizens and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on academic merit, background, faculty recommendation, and demonstrated interest in NASA and a career in STEM.
