VWEA Rising Freshman Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who plan to attend college in the state and work on an undergraduate degree related to wastewater.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors who are graduating from high schools in Virginia and planning to enroll full-time at a college or university in the state.

Applicants must intend to work on a degree in civil or environmental engineering or physical environmental science.

They must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Selection is based on the essay (25%), work and research experience (10%), extracurricular activities (30%), and academic performance (35%).
